In 2007, we were hired to completed a project for Sierra County California. This was one of the most challenging rubbersheeting project we have completed.
The City of Ceres California
In 2004, we were retained to completed a project for the City of Ceres California. The City had a basemap covering over 25 square miles and 11 overlay maps (Water, Sewer, Zoning, etc.).
The City’s basemap had been created and maintained for many years and did not use the same coordinate system as the County (Stanislaus). The goal was to rubbersheet City basemap to match the County basemap and also rubbersheet all 11 overlays so all City maps would conform to the County basemap.
The final calibration set used 62,784 Calibration Points and resulted in a new basemap that perfectly fit the County basemap and 11 perfectly fit overlays
